Lena Dunham made headlines a few months ago, when she revealed a much smaller frame… Now she’s back, making headlines again for her weight loss
Lena Dunham is flaunting her new, slim figure.
The Girls star made headlines a few months ago when she dropped a heap of weight after Trump’s election - she stated she’d lost her appetite after the controversial president came into power.
Anyway, it seems Lena has picked up with the weight loss momentum, revealing she’s lost even more weight.
The 30-year-old has turned to personal trainer Tracy Anderson, who trains Gwyneth Paltrow, to continue down the fitness path.
Dunham is flaunted her new shape at the launch of Anderson’s new studio, standing proudly with her hands on her hips in skin-tight leggings.
Dunham started training with Anderson in 2015.
She spoke out about her training, explaining it’s about health.
“With Tracy it’s not about getting everyone to look a specific way.
“It’s about getting everyone to feel strong. And she uses the word ‘connected’ a lot, which I really love. I love the idea of feeling connected.”
So what does Dunham do to stay in shape, exactly?
“It’s a mix of aerobics, strength training and something that kind of resembles pilates but that she created on her own.
“What I like about it is that Tracy really listens to your body and what you’re capable of. There’s no weird pressure.
“It’s honestly like if one day I have a UTI and I can’t jump up and down, she’ll say, ‘OK, we’ll adjust.’”
She explained exercise keeps her anxiety in check.
“To those struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression: I know it’s mad annoying when people tell you to exercise, and it took me about 16 medicated years to listen. I’m glad I did. It ain’t about the ass, it’s about the brain.”
