How did we miss this key thing in our favourite childhood movie, Beauty And The Beast?
We've all watched Beauty And The Beast multiple times and have therefore heard Belle's opening song multiple times, but we bet you missed this small detail. It seems Disney subtly connected the movie with another classic, Aladdin.
In the opening song Belle goes to the bookstore to return the book she borrowed the day before.
She decides to re-borrow a book which she describes as her favourite, but when she starts to describe the book's plot line, it all sounds very familiar.
Tumblr user, DisneyMom, was actually the one to make the connection. She noticed that the story Belle describes was:
"Far off places, daring swordfights, magic spells, a prince in disguise."
Belle goes on to say her favourite part is when "she meets Prince Charming, but she won't discover that it's him 'til chapter three!"
What a twist, Disney, what a twist.
