We always assumed that Sarah Jessica Parker choosing to wear a black wedding dress was a very calculated reason, but it turns out it was far from it!
Appearing on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live to promote her new show Divorce, Sarah confessed to the host that her black wedding dress wasn't one of her favourite fashion moments.
Andy asked the actress, who is approaching her 20th wedding anniversary with Matthew Broderick, about the "badass" decision to which she responded:
“Oh, I wish it was because I was badass. I just was too embarrassed to spend any time looking for a wedding dress. There was a store that I liked that I knew, and I just went and got whatever they had hanging.”

She then added that if given the opportunity she "would do it differently". In the past she's admitted to choosing the black Morgane Le Fay gown as a way to outwit the prying paparazzi as her wedding was a complete surprise to the 100 guests who thought they were attending another party.
A few years ago, the actress told Harper's Bazaar she would like to renew her vows and wear a white dress:
"I'd wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day."
The actress may not like it now, but we still think she looked great!
