Here are the best and the worst looks of the 2019 Oscars

By Christina Cavaleri February 25, 2019

Um... Lady Gaga, you've already won.

The biggest day of Hollywood is underway with stars arriving thick and fast on the red carpet for the 91st Academy Awards.

A Star Is Born, Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma and Vice are all battling it out to take home the prestigious gong.

But before the envelopes are opened and the celebrities take their seats at The Dolby Theatre in LA, we need to gauge at the most expensive gowns, suits, jewellery and shoes.

Billy Porter is absolutely slaying the red carpet in this gown fit for a Broadway King.

Ashley Graham steals the show in all black, very similar to our leading lady Lady Gaga.

Emilia Clarke sporting a soft pink with a texture that kinda makes us think of The Little Mermaid.

GIRL! Defying gender norms over here Awkwafina, from the blockbuster hit Crazy Rich Asians.

So, defying gender norms is the way to go for the 2019 Oscars with Melissa McCarthy obviously getting the note.

Nominee Amy Adams looking stunning as usual.

Adam Lambert is channeling Freddy Mercury for his upcoming performance with Queen.

Glenn Close has been tipped as a favourite for the Best Actress catergory and she's bringing all the luck by dressing as an Oscar,

Well, this is a different look for the red carpet this year. Linda Cardellini struts her stuff in a pink-tutu-extravaganza.

SHE'S HERE! Everyone can go home because Lady Gaga has just arrived in an all black, sleek, classic gown. Take a look at that necklace! Guess how much it's worth? The jaw-dropping Tiffany necklace is worth a whopping $US30 million ($AU42 million).

J-Lo, need we say more.
