Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga are confirmed to perform ‘Shallow’ at the Oscars

We can't wait!

Just when we thought we had more than enough reasons to tune into the highly anticipated Oscars ceremony, we were blessed with the news that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga would be performing ‘Shallow’ at the award show.

That’s right! In just four simple words, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences tweeted the news and we cannot contain our excitement:

“Cooper. Gaga. “Shallow. #Oscars" - the tweet read.

The Academy also tweeted that “I’ll Fight”, from 'RBG', “The Place Where Lost Things Go,” from 'Mary Poppins Returns'; and “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings,” from 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs' will also be sung at the ceremony, which means we'll get to watch four out of the five nominees for 'Best Original Song' perform during the show!

And, while there have been whispers that ‘Shallow’ would be performed at the Oscars for quite some time now, fans were quick to respond to the news and insisted the song received more than 90 seconds of air time:

A little confused? Stereogum reports that each performance will be limited to 90 seconds and, while The Academy hasn't confirmed this yet, it’s safe to say that viewers will probably need a little more than that to be happy with the overall performance.

We mean… a little Gaga and Cooper is better than nothing at all – right?
