This is horrible!

Meghan Markle’s dad Thomas Markle is reportedly experiencing serious chest pains following a heart attack he suffered six days ago and will not be attending her wedding to Prince Harry. Speaking with TMZ, he said the pains were triggered by emotional upset.

Mr Markle referenced his older daughter Samantha Grant, who has been saying terrible things about Meghan ahead of her wedding on Saturday.

Thomas told the publication:

"I've been popping Valium for the pain, especially when I hear about my oldest daughter."

He decided not to go to the wedding and give Meghan away, saying he believes Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland would be a good choice to walk their daughter down the aisle.

Thomas told TMZ he’s worried he could be on the verge of another heart attack.

Despite being in poor health, Thomas initially planned on attending the wedding until he was caught staging paparazzi photos.

He told the gossip site he “meant no harm” to his daughter and the royal family when he agreed to let a photography agency take pics of him preparing for the wedding.

While he claims money wasn’t the primary motivation, Meghan’s dad was allegedly paid $100,000 for the deal.

Thomas says the paparazzi agency approached him, offered him money and he figured there was no harm in it and it would help recast his image.

Kensington Palace have officially responded to the news, saying, "this is a deeply personal moment" and “[Meghan] and Prince Harry ask for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation."
