"If you said no … you will regret it one day."

Cassandra Thorburn, the former wife of Karl Stefanovic, confirmed on Wednesday she'll be competing on Channel Ten's new season of Dancing With The Stars with Samuel Johnson and Sir Curtly Ambrose.

Speaking with The Herald Sun, Cassandra said she decided to sign up for the show after an emotional conversation with her father, Max, who passed away in October last year:

"It was one of the last conversations I had with my dad before he passed away."

"(He told me) If you said no … you will regret it one day."

The former reporter's return to television will take place weeks after Karl was taken off the Today Show.

Daily Mail reports Michelle Bridges, chef Miguel Maestre, Olympia Valance, Denise Scott, model Jett Kenny and blogger may join Cassandra, Samuel and Curtly.

A Network 10 spokesperson confirmed some of those names are correct:

"Good try! There are some correct names on that list but you haven't quite got them all."
