George Clooney hospitalised after head-on motorcycle crash

George Clooney was injured in a head-on collision today while riding his motorcycle in Sardinia, Italy.

The 57-year-old’s motorbike hit the windscreen of an oncoming car on Tuesday morning, according to La Nuova Sardegna. The car had reportedly made a sudden change in direction.

George’s wife Amal Clooney rushed to his side at John Paul II hospital, where he received x-rays for injuries to his pelvis, arms and legs. He was discharged the same morning through a side door, where he and his wife left in a chauffeur-driven vehicle.

George is filming TV series Catch 22 in the picturesque Italian island, and was on his way to work when the accident occurred. He is staying with Amal and their one-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander.
