Kate Middleton gives statement about Meghan Markle

Well, we know where she stands now.

For some reason (because people can't resist a cat-fight story, we suppose) rumours of a growing rift between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been making headlines for some time now.

Unsurprisingly, the Royal Family has avoided commenting on the whispers until now - with only "sources" and "royal insiders" giving statements on the supposed feud.

Today, The Sun has shared that the Duchess of Cambridge has given her first public statement regarding her sister-in-law since the rumours started and many are taking it as a means of shutting down talk of bad blood.

The paper has shared that during an appearance outside Leicester University, Middleton was asked if she is excited for “Meghan and her new baby?" to which she replied:

"Yes, absolutely.

“It’s such a special time to have all the kiddies… and a cousin for George and Charlotte as well, and Louis. So it will be really special.”

The update comes just a day after reports emerged that Middleton was left in tears over an altercation regarding Princess Charlotte's dress for Markle and Prince Harry's wedding.
