But they’re thankful for your gifts.

Royal fans are currently lightly dabbing their tears away after Buckingham Palace released a statement regarding the birth of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's baby.

According to various UK media reports, the statement was released on Thursday and revealed the couple will keep the arrival of their first child private:

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.

"Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."

Good to know they're thankful for the gifts though, right?

The Daily Mail reports that a second announcement will be made after the baby is born when aides expect to be able to announce details of the baby's gender, its birth weight and the place of birth.

We're hoping the first photo of their new family of three will be posted on their new Instagram account within a few days following their child's arrival.

One thing we have noticed about this decision is that it's the exact opposite of how Kate Middleton delivered her children.

For the births of Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, who turns 1 this year, the public was in the know every step of the way.

First, it was announced that Kate Middleton would be at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London where Princess Diana delivered William and Harry, we're unaware of where Meghan will be giving birth. There have been reports that it will be a home birth.

Second, again like Diana, Kate and William debuted their three babies on the steps of the Lindo Wing with smiles on their faces just a mere few hours after the births.

While the palace has not confirmed Meghan's due date beyond "the spring," Meghan is believed to deliver within the next few weeks.
