Priscilla Presley Reveals Who Should Play Her In New Elvis Film

By Christina Cavaleri July 25, 2019

And what she thinks about the Elvis casting.

Baz Luhrmann's biopic of Elvis Presley's manager Colonel Tom Parker hasn't even started filming yet and it's already the talk of Hollywood.

We know who our Elvis, Austin Butler landed the role of a lifetime after months of auditions, screen tests, and waiting.

But what about Elvis' wife from 1967 to 1973 Priscilla Presley? We all have our sights set on Lana Del Rey because she is Priscilla's doppelgänger. But doesn't 74-year-old Priscilla get a say in this?

The Blast spotted her at LAX and asked who she would want to play her in the upcoming biopic:

"I like Lana."

Simple, but to the point.

This also isn't the first time that Priscilla has mentioned Lana either. “I’ve seen her, it’s sweet, really sweet,” she told The Guardian of Del Rey in 2015.

According to Radar Online, the singer has been vying for the role and has even been contacting Baz himself about the casting.

We don't even know how Priscilla Presley will actually fit into Baz's upcoming film, all we know is that it will focus on Elvis' professional relationship with his manager Colonel Tom Parker, who will be played by Tom Hanks.

Tom  did have a big role in Priscilla  and Elvis' relationship. He helped keep the relationship under wraps until he decided it would be a good career move for the two to marry.

As for Priscilla's opinion on Austin, the reporter asked if he was the perfect choice:

"I don't know I'm sorry."

Probably not the answer Austin wants to hear.
