The Trailer For The Handmaid's Tale Season 3 Is Here

By Christina Cavaleri May 2, 2019

"If I'm going to change things, I'm going to need allies."

We were blessed with Bachelor In Paradise just a few days after Married At First Sight, so we didn't have to spend too many nights without reality TV.

Now, our favourite drama series are giving us the same respect.

Game Of Thrones fans are freaking out there are only three episodes left, but never fear: The Handmaid's Tale is here.

Hulu released the first trailer from the highly-anticipated new season where we see June/Offred (Elisabeth Moss) back in Gilead, ready to fight.

"Heresy, that's what you get punished for," Moss' voice says in the trailer.

"Not for being part of the resistance, because officially, there is no resistance. Not for helping people escape, because officially, there's no such thing as escape."

And if you think you're going to miss characters searching for allies in GoT, The Handmaid's Tale will fill that hole for you too.

"If I'm going to change things, I'm going to need allies," she continues as we see images of Nick (Max Minghella) and Serena (Yvonne Strahovski).

"Allies with power."

It looks like June/Offred will be working with Serena Waterford in this upcoming season who has been her enemy for the first two seasons.

"As Mrs Waterford, you have influence," June tells Serena, who responds, "Up to a point."

"So move the point," June tells her.

The new season premieres Wednesday, 5 June on Hulu leaving us with just one week without a show to binge on.

If you forgot where we left off in Season 2, here's a quick recap.

At the end of S2, fans were screaming at their screen because June/Offred doesn't escape with her newborn baby and Emily to Canada. She decides to go back to Gilead as her older daughter Hannah (now Agnes) is still there.

We see a lot of ups and downs in Serena's character during the last season.

She has been wanting a baby from Offred since the beginning of the series and now she has one, however she turns skeptical about the kind of life the baby would have in Gilead.

In the end, Serena lets June/Offred leave with the baby after a tearful goodbye.

Prepare the tissues/throat lozenges, we’re not sure if we’re going to be shouting or crying more in Season 3.
