“They can’t just go off and do their own thing.”

The latest from the Royal Family is that The Queen has denied Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's request to begin a household independent of Buckingham Palace, The Sunday Times reports.

Although it has been confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan will separate from The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, new reports suggest the Royal couple sought to attain "royal freedom" but were told "no".

According to the publication, a source revealed that:

"They wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told ‘no’.

"There is an institutional structure that doesn’t allow that kind of independence. The feeling is that it’s good to have the Sussexes under the jurisdiction of Buckingham Palace, so they can’t just go off and do their own thing.”

Page Six shares that it is believed Prince Harry and Meghan had hoped to build a “philanthropy brand” without Royal involvement.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to move from Kensington Palace to Windsor before the arrival of the Royal baby.
