Disneyland Launch Star Wars-Themed Park In California

Pew! Pew! Pew, pew, pew!

Hold onto your blaster, 'cause Disneyland has officially welcomed a Star Wars-themed park in California.

The park, named Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, was officially welcomed by actors Mark Hamil (Luke Skywalker), creator George Lucas, Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo) with fireworkers and a dedication to actor Peter Mayhew who played Chewbacca and sadly passed away in April of this year.

The land will offer visitors the chance to step into the Millennium Falcon's cockpit and control a simulated flight. Guests also can drink blue milk, eat space meat roasted by a spare pod-racing engine, and have a drink at an outer-space cantina.

"The goal was to be ambitious, really ambitious," Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger said in an interview earlier on Wednesday.
