Emilia Clarke Shares Photos From Her Aneurysm Recovery

And it's heartbreaking.

Emilia Clarke is best known for playing total badass strong woman Daenerys Targaryen AKA Khaleesi AKA the Mother Of Dragons in Game Of Thrones.

She rides around on majestic beasts, kicks butt and is our hero.

But Emilia recently revealed in an essay for the New Yorker that in the early days of playing Daenerys she suffered two life-threatening brain aneurysms.

Now, Emilia has shared never before seen photos from her recovery in hospital.

Speaking to CBS Sunday Morning, Emilia explained that the first bleed occurred right after she shot Game Of Thrones’ first season and it put her life completely on hold.

Emilia suffered TWO aneurysms. She described the first one as feeling like a rubber band was being snapped around her brain.

She also told CBS Sunday Morning that “with the second one, there was a bit of my brain that actually died.”

Emilia was warned that her brain and body may not function at full capacity due to the brain bleeds.

“They literally were looking at the brain and being like, ‘Well, we think it could be her concentration, it could be her peripheral vision.

“I always say it’s my taste in men that’s no longer there.”

But the good news is that Emilia is now “completely in the clear.”

We look forward to watching her ride around on majestic beasts, kick butt and be our hero in the final season of Thrones

She’s also our hero in real life.

Motivated by her own struggles, Emilia founded a brain injury recover charity called Same You.

The charity aims to help young adults “become themselves again after bran injury and stroke.”

Yep, like we said, our hero.
