The Farmer Wants A Wife Reveals 2020 Blokes Looking For Love

By Ally Parker December 2, 2019

Are you ready?

News broke last month that TV fave The Farmer Wants A Wife was on its way back.

And look, we haven’t stopped thinking about it since TBH.

After a two-year break, the dating series announced its grand return to Channel 7 and its’ noble goal of helping farmers in their pursuit of love, happiness and akubras.

And we are now one giant step closer to seeing the whole thing play out on our screens with the Farmers revealed by the network today.

Alex, 28, Cunnamulla, Qld

Type of farm: Sheep & cattle

“I’ve never been in love before, it definitely scares me. I’d hate to go through my whole life without finding love and that special person. I’m looking for a girl who’s interested on being on the farm –someone confident, someone who is full of surprises and is able to keep my guessing all the time!”

Harry, 28, Goolgowi, NSW

Type of farm: Grapes, cotton and sheep

“I think love is forever – if love is love, you’re with the same person for the rest of your life. I’m sure my dogs are sick of me speaking to them, so I’m looking for someone supportive [and] a happy attitude. When you’re a farmer you need to come home to a positive energy.

Neil, 42, Crookwell, NSW

Type of farm: Sheep

“I’m looking for a second chance at love. As a single dad-of-three I’ve had my fair share of relationship ups and downs. A spark is evident when that spark comes back – that’s when you know someone is right because I’ve felt the spark, I know how good it is and what it’s like to lose it. Now I’m missing my one piece.”

Jack, 27, Harrow, Vic

Type of farm: Sheep

“I’m after someone who can feel an empty void. It’s certainly very difficult to find a lady… It’s slim pickings in my little pocket of the world, that’s for sure! The biggest attraction for me is a smile – it sucks me in every time. If she doesn’t like dogs we might have our first hiccup. I just need someone with a big heart!”

Nick, 44, Deviot, Tas

Type of farm: Vineyard

“I’m looking for a wife to share it all with! It would mean everything to me to find true love – it would be like filling in a missing piece in my life. A lot of the girls who are interested in me realise that Tasmania isn’t the place to be if you want a career, so it’s hard. I’m looking for a lady who can accept me for who I am…”

Sam, 27, Innisfail, Qld

Type of farm: Tropical fruit

“I want a wife desperately! I think I’m a good catch because I’ve got so much love to give – I love spoiling someone. I’ve definitely got the romance in me. My family would be happy with whatever nationality she is, so long as she loves food. If she doesn’t love food it will definitely be a deal breaker!”

The network has released a call out, looking for single ladies so if you’re keen or would like to nominate someone, visit their website here.
