The Grounds of Alexandria has been transformed into ‘Cherry Tree Lane’ from Mary Poppins

It’s FULL of cherry blossom trees and AMAZING

When The Grounds of Alexandria transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland last month we were pretty sure we found heaven.

Sparkly, snowy, Disney heaven.

But we think The Grounds’ new instalment may be even more magical than the last.

They have collaborated with Disney (again) to create an immersive, walk-through experience inspired by Mary Poppins Returns.

Snowy Christmas trees have been replaced with blooming pink Cherry Blossom trees and it’s BEYOND pretty:

Amongst the cherry blossoms are London lamps and kites a-plenty which give the Grounds’ laneways a whimsical feel.

But if you want REALLY magical. Like, really REALLY magical, then make sure you’re around the cherry blossoms at 10am, 12pm and 2pm every day to watch bubbles fall from the skies and snap that perfect pic for the gram.

Don’t worry, no one is going to break into a spontaneous musical number. Although we wont stop you.

All of the restaurants, cafes and dessert stalls in The Grounds are open as normal during the Mary Poppins pop-up, so you can treat yourself (making #content is hungry work).

If you’re feeling especially sweet then why not indulge in the limited edition “Let’s go fly a kite” cake.

With lemon zest sponge, cherry puree and cream cheese centre it will definitely leave you on a (sugar) high.

Pretty trees, bubbles, kites and sugary treats? It’s practically perfect in every way.

‘Cherry Tree Lane’ will be open to the public until Sunday 3rd February. Be sure to Popp-in before it’s gone!
