Billy has been through so much in his first seven months!

ABC announced on Monday that Jimmy Kimmel's seven-month-old son Billy "had a scheduled and successful heart surgery this morning." The network also revealed that Jimmy is "with his family" for the remainder of the week and would have celebrity guests filling in as host of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Billy was originally meant to have surgery in late October but it was postponed "due to the common cold". Just hours after he was born, Billy was in surgery after it was discovered that he suffers from a heart disease. At the time, Jimmy tearfully told his audience the story saying Billy had two defects in his heart.

He added that Billy will need another surgery when he's a teenager, but otherwise, things look good for the little guy!

Watch the announcement here:

Jimmy has shared a few snaps of Billy on social media and we have to say, we've never seen a happier, more adorable little guy ever!
