Ozzy Osbourne Reveals He’s Been Diagnosed With Parkinson’s Disease

2 min read

Ozzy Osbourne is a heavy metal legend. And while we’re used to seeing him run around and head bang on stage, it just goes to show things are not always how they seem; Ozzy has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.  The disease is a disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement and often causes tremors. Other symptoms are slow movement, stiffness and loss of balance. Ozzy revealed his diagnosis during an exclusive interview with ABC News.  “I’m no good with secrets … I cannot walk around with it anymore,” he said. Wife, Sharon Osbourne, said her husband’s diagnosis was taking its toll but that she has to stay strong.
“I have to be there for Ozzy and for the family, because if I break down..no, you can’t do it, you just can’t do it,” she told the ABC.
Ozzy has been praised for his openness and bravery. Meanwhile, the 71-year-old rocker has a message for his fans: “I feel better now that I’ve owned up to the fact that I have a case of parkinson’s and I just hope they hang around for me because I need them,” he told the ABC.
“I just can’t wait to get well and I’ll see you on the road again.”
