Prince Charles

Seriously wish he was a contestant.

Prince Charles has been announced as one of the ‘celebrity’ guests on Masterchef this year and is filming his cameo while he’s in the country for the Commonwealth Games.

The Prince will be the guest of honour at a reception for 150 people at the Royal Flying Doctor Service base in Darwin and the show’s contestants will be cooking at the event.

Gary Mehigan told News Corp:

“The Prince of Wales is well known for loving everything home grown.”

“With this in mind, the challenge for our contestants is to use native and indigenous flavours along with locally sourced ingredients.

“This is a tremendous honour for us all.”

“It is not only an enormous privilege and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cook for His Royal Highness but a challenge too.”

Kangaroo and crocodile will be on the menu along with many other Australian ingredients.

The episode is set to be one of the highlights for season ten.
