This is a huge blow for Channel Ten...

If you're a fan of Modern Family and The Simpsons you might be sad to know negotiations between 21st Century Fox and Channel Ten broke down on Monday meaning any Fox shows will not appear on the network from now.

Shows such as Mash, Malcolm in the MiddleFuturama, This Is Us as well as all Fox movies will no longer air on Channel Ten. The Simpsons aired on Ten for over 25 years while Modern Family has always aired on the network.

It's believed that Fox was unhappy with the amount being offered by Ten, which is currently in administration, for their content.

This could be an opportunity for other networks to have the popular shows aired on their channels. According to News.Com.Au, a spokesperson for Nine said they are not planning on bidding for all of the Fox shows, but potentially one or two of them.  There's no word yet on whether Seven would also bid.

A spokesperson for Ten told the publication the shows had been pulled from the network on Monday after the deal was "verbally terminated"

New seasons of This Is Us, Modern Family and The Simpsons are airing in the US now with Ten unable to run the latest episodes as negotiations were still ongoing.
