By Lynette C July 14, 2017

Step back in time with the National Gallery of Victoria's latest exhibition, Brave New World: Australia 1930s.

Brave New World: Australia 1930s includes a wide range of artistic production- painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography and more – giving audiences an immersive look at the culture of the 30s.

Explore an extraordinary decade in Australian history and see how artists tackled great issues of the time, including growing calls for Indigenous rights, the rise of the ‘Modern Women’, the Depression and the body culture.

An important lesson in Australia’s art history for the entire family and a trip down memory lane for the grandparents.

The exhibition is open daily at The Ian Potter Centre, NGV Australia and is running from July 14 – October 15, 2017. For ticket bookings, visit www.ngv.vic.gov.au/exhibition/brave-new-world/
