The winner of Eurovision has been announced!

And not everyone is happy about it.

The winner of the 63rd Eurovision competition has been announced this morning as none other than...

Israel's Netta Barzilai with 'Toy'!

"I am so happy. Thank you so much. Thank you for supporting diversity," Netta said upon winning.

The singer was second favourite to win after Cyprus' Eleni Foureira.

As for Jessica Mauboy? She placed 20th after making it through to the finals.

The win comes after a dramatic event with the UK's SuRie interrupted mid-performance by a protestor.

The man, believed to be rapper and activitst Dr A.C, grabbed the microphone from the shocked singer and shouted, "For the Nazis of the UK media, we demand freedom."

SuRie was eventiually given another microphone and carried on with her performance to much applause. She was given the opportunity to re-perform but felt that depsite the interruption, their performance held. She finished 24th. 

As is expected, the Tweets poo-pooing the winner are coming thick and fast with some, touching on the political aspects, others... well:
