Jackson Heywood, who worked with Jessica on Home and Away, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. He wrote:

"Jess. I will always remember our beautiful longwinded chats about life, acting, philosophy, relationships and especially over-thinking. If you’re lucky enough in life to meet a handful of people, or even just one - that when you look at them in the eye, and without words just know they understand you, and you them - you are just so deeply lucky.

"So to you Jess, thankyou, because i really do consider myself lucky. You are a beautifully deep and incredibly unique soul, I had the pleasure of knowing. My heart is broken. I will always miss you. But I'm glad you’re with your family now. Goodbye. Sincerest condolences to the extended Falkholt family and friends. You have all my support."

Fellow Home and Away star Anna Cocquerel wrote, "Thinking of you," alongside a heart emoji. Actor Anthony Hayes tweeted, "Jessica Falkholt. Sweetest girl. So full of life. Heart breaks."

The Home and Away Facebook page shared a simple message, writing, "Rest in peace beautiful Jess." Jessica was set to appear in her first feature film, Harmony: The Five Frequencies Part One with the official Facebook page writing:

"On behalf of everyone involved with HARMONY we are completely devastated to hear of the passing of our lead actress, the incredible Jessica Falkholt. This tragedy is beyond comprehension. This film will be dedicated to Jess and her family so their memory will live on and her talents are appreciated around Australia and the world. Rest in Peace Jess, you will be missed so very much."

The family was driving home after Christmas with family on Boxing Day when they were struck by another car – the driver of the second car, Craig Whitall, also died instantly.

Daily Mail reports that during the funeral service for Lars, Vivian and Annabelle, Jessica's uncle Paul Ponticello tearfully told mourners that their family would forever be haunted by Christmas, the last time they were all together.

"It is a day that will be difficult to erase from our memory. Their lives on this earth ending on a highway makes absolutely no sense."

He also said that Lars had always been a very careful driver, joking that they would often need to add time on to any trip, calling it the "Lars factor".

"They are together and always will be... You will always be remembered and in our hearts forever. Rest in Peace."

During the funeral, the Falkholt family made sure Jessica wasn't alone and was surrounded by friends.
