First Lady Melania Trump undergoes major surgery

The procedure treated a kidney condition. 

The White House has reported on Melania Trump has been admitted to hospital, where she will remain for the rest of the week, after undergoing a procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. 

Stephanie Grisham, the First Lady's spokeswoman, said the procedure was a success and there were no complications.

Trump is at Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre which is just outside of Washington and will probably stay there "for the rest of the week".

The White House released a statement that read:

“This morning, First Lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition. The procedure was successful and there were no complications.”

"The first lady looks forward to a full recovery so she can continue her work on behalf of children everywhere.”​

Trump is working on an anti-bullying campaign to teach children to behave with more consideration and kindness on social media.
