108-Year-Old Woman Shares Hilarious Secret To Long Life

We have to agree.

A 108-year-old English woman has revealed her secret to a long life and we are 100 per cent on board.

Yahoo News reports that Dorothy Flowers, a resident at a care home in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, loves a good glass of sparkling wine.

Resident manager at the Bupa Southlands Care Home, Helene Ballinger, told the publication how ‘champagne’ was likely her “real secret for longevity”.

“It’s the only thing we ever see her finish a glass of,” she told Yahoo.

For her most recent birthday, Dorothy received multiple bottles of her drink of choice along with 670 cards, flowers, chocolates and gin.

Her niece Judith Barrett explained that while Dorothy “struggles to speak nowadays,” the smile on her face spoke volumes.

“She’s always been happiest when surrounded by others, and the cards have made her feel very loved,” she told the publication.

The news comes after a 107-year-old woman, Louise Signore, said abstaining from marriage was the reason she’s enjoyed such a long life.

When ABC7 asked her what the “best part of being 107” was, she replied simply.

“Not getting married.”

And last month identical 95-year-old twins Lilian Cox and Doris Dobday claim no sex, raw sausage sandwiches and a pint of Guinness or two hold the secret to longevity.
