Prepare yourselves Sydney, ‘cause a severe thunderstorm is forecast

By Krisinda Merhi March 18, 2019

It never rains but it pours.

About a month ago it felt as though Sydney’s summer would go forever. The days were hot and humid and going to the beach was still a possibility.

But the weather has taken a greyer turn in the last couple of

weeks, with a noticeable drop in temperature and some serious rainfall.

Also 20,000 lightning strikes in a single night. No biggie.

Well, the rain ain’t stopping anytime soon because a major thunderstorm has been forecast.

A severe weather and thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of the city by NSW Police Force and the Bureau Of Meteorology.

As well as a light show, the storms are set to bring A LOT of rainfall, strong winds and even some hail across NSW.

The severity of the conditions depends on which part of the state you live in:

The weather forecast for the rest of the week is looking just as gloomy. The rain will continue until Friday when (hopefully) we’ll get clear skies and warmer conditions just in time for the weekend.

Looks like we’ll have to shave our legs after all.
