We're not crying, YOU'RE crying!

Many women dream about their wedding day from childhood, but it's not so surprising to find out men don't exactly share that with us. So hearing these stories of when men knew they were ready to marry their significant others, is melting our hearts!

Someone asked the question on Reddit, "When did you know you wanted to get married?" and the answers are adorable!

"When I met the woman who would become my wife, I was going through a difficult time in my life. She met me at my worst, and not only helped me through it, she helped me become a better man with nothing but support and encouragement.

"Also, I distinctly remember asking her what she wanted to do one evening and when she said 'stay here and drink beer and play video games' I think that about settled it. That woman knows how to make me smile. I proposed at sunset, during autumn at an overlook in Shenandoah National Park. We've been married 5 years, and are expecting our first kid." – /u/natrlselection

"I have always known that I have wanted to be married one day. I like the idea of marriage and spending the rest of my life with a partner that feels the same. I knew I wanted to get married to my current SO when the thought of not having her in my life scared the shit out of me. I just love her being in my life too much to let her get away. That was a gradual feeling that probably coalesced after a year or so of being together." – /u/PaximusMaximus

"When the thought of spending the rest of my life with her outweighed the prospect of spending the rest of my life with one person." – /u/a_proud_white_male

"When I met a girl I wanted to be with and learn everything about; and couldn't imagine living life without her in it. We were going to have kids. We talked about it so much." – /u/Ronald–Raygun

Love Actually

"I feel like I've always wanted that, but haven't been with the right girl, until now, to really pursue it and hadn't really felt old enough. Still not quite there on the age front but I imagine I'll be engaged within the next year or [two]." – /u/elementality22
