Would you try any of these?

Those who have used the platform before will be very well aware that Pinterest is essentially a modern version of scrapbooking for weddings. If you want to find inspiration for your big day (or just plan your imaginary nuptials), hop onto Pinterest and get lost in the never-ending stream of bouquets, table settings and wedding cakes.

After carefully considering the photos that have received the most love on Pinterest, we’ve been able to uncover five key trends for weddings in 2017 and well, they’re pretty damn stunning.

Check them out for yourself below:

1. Lots of lush greenery:

It seems people are moving away from glamour and excess and instead, are choosing decor themes that place nature (and plant-life) at the centre of their wedding celebrations.

2. Drip cakes:

Taking an, er, leaf out of the natural look book, drip cakes are taking over the bridal scene. The trend, which has overtaken the “naked” cake, is often made up of a simple-looking cake that has been drizzled in a delicious topping of some variety and finished off with freshly-picked flowers.

3. Soft colour palettes:

We’ve seen a lot of neutrals, soft pinks and green across Pinterest, suggesting brides and grooms are opting for more natural colour themes – think garden parties!

4. Off-the-shoulder wedding dresses:

This romantic fashion trend has made its way into the bridal world and it has really taken off. And why wouldn’t it? It looks beautiful.

5. Outdoor weddings:

Makes sense, right? With all that green floating around in wedding trends for 2017, it is no real surprise that many couples are choosing to hold their celebrations outside in striking natural settings.

What do you think? Will you be using any of these in your wedding celebrations? Let us know!
