ATTN all schoolies attendees, an earthquake just hit Bali

By Krisinda Merhi November 15, 2018

It hit in the early hours of this morning

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit just off the coast of Bali in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The quake, which occurred at 1.30am local time (4.30am AEDT) isn’t the first the region has experienced this year.

A series of strong earthquakes have shaken Indonesia this year including a magnitude 7 in August which resulted in a high number of fatalities.

Luckily this mornings quake was not so serious: there were no tsunami warnings following the incident and no expected damage caused.

With Bali a popular location for young Aussies celebrating schoolies, it’s important for all attendees to be safe and careful.
