Beloved author Clive Cussler has died, aged 88.
The Sahara and Raise the Titanic writer passed away on Monday, according to his son, Dirk, who co-authored his father’s final three books.
Cussler’s adventure novels have been published in more than 40 languages. He has sold more than 100 million books and his novels Sahara and Raise the Titanic were turned into hit movies.
Cussler was also recognised as a shipwreck expert and his book The Sea Hunters was considered such an in-depth study, the author was handed a doctorate from the Board of Governors of the Maritime College, State of New York.
