Kmart chair recalled over safety concerns

By Ally Parker March 6, 2018

Why is it always our favourites that get recalled?

We're devo (just DEVO) that we have to share this news but... the wildly popular Kmart Blush Velvet Chair has been recalled.

Yes, this one:

A member from the Facebook group Kmart Mums Australia!!! posted about the supposed recall saying she had received a call from her local store to advise her that her layby of the product had been cancelled.

Others quickly commented with screenshots of Kmart's responses:

"The Blush Velvet Chairs have been withdrawn from sale for the moment but should be back on shelves soon!" the Kmart account responded.

One commenter said her local store (Redcliffe QLD) advised her to return her chair.

Many Facebook users allege the recall is due to a woman who was injured after the legs collapsed but this is unconfirmed.

The original post about the collapse is here:

Smooth has reached out to Kmart for comment and they have confirmed the product will be returning to stores.
