Musical legend Sir Tom Jones will join smoothfm from Saturday 27 February.

Sir Tom will be sharing music and stories from his 50-year career every Saturday from 4pm.

The music legend will host four very special shows ahead of his Aussie Tour this March. Sir Tom is singing better than ever so make sure to grab tickets for Sydney via Ticketek and Melbourne via Ticketmaster

Every Saturday, Jones will share his wisdom and life experiences in the music industry including what it’s like to be friends with Elvis and which Beatles song was originally written for him.

At the age of 75, Jones is still one of the strongest artists in the industry. He has sold more than 100 million records, won a Grammy and two Brit Awards and given us countless hits. His new album Long Lost Suitcase is out now on iTunes.

To get you excited for Sir Tom’s shows on smoothfm, these are our Top 5 favourite songs from one of music's most gorgeous voices.

5. Thunderball

'Thunderball' became the lead song for the 1965 Bond film of the same name. Jones apparently fainted in the recording booth after singing the song's final high note.

4. Love Me Tonight

Originally an Italian song ‘Love Me Tonight’ was written by Daniele Pace, with music from Lorenzo Pilat. Tom Jones made it his own with this epic live performance from 1969.

3. Delilah

Tom was knighted in 2006—an honour he deeply cherishes. He returned to Buckingham Palace in 2012 for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert and performed this STUNNING rendition of his 1968 hit.

2. What’s New Pussycat

Released in 1965, What’s New Pussycat was written by Burt Bacharach and has been covered by many artists including Tony Bennett.

1.  It’s Not Unusual

It’s Not Unusual was first recorded by a then-unknown Tom Jones , after having first been offered to Sandie Shaw. It reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in 1965 and has since become one of Jones' signature songs.

Tune in to smoothfm from Saturday 27 February at 4pm to hear more of Tom Jones.
