Beatles top Rolling Stone's list of 500 greatest albums

If you didn't know it before, it's now official - The Beatles were the greatest band of all time. Being hailed as "most important rock & roll album ever made, an unsurpassed adventure in concept, sound, songwriting, cover art and studio technology by the greatest rock & roll group of all time" - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band  has topped the list of Rolling Stone's greatest album of all time.

With it's highly recognisable cover art, it's guaranteed that everyone will instantly recognise the album as a classic and it's not the only one of The Beatles records that made the list. The came in with four albums in the top ten alone.
