The Chocolatiers' Quarters, proudly presented by Baci Perugina will return to The smooth Festival of Chocolate in The Rocks this August 12 & 13, filled with an exciting collective of artisan chocolatiers and dessert makers.

Major features of this year's Chocolatiers' Quarters include:

Baci Perugina

Italy's most loved chocolate, Baci Perugina will create a showcase for the very first time, demonstrating Baci made from scratch in front fo your eyes. Come along and sample this delicious chocolate for yourself!

 

Dean Gibson presents "Bone Shaker"

Acclaimed chocolatier Dean Gibson will return to the Chocolatiers' Quarters for the 3rd year on behalf of Callebaut Belgian Chocolate, Hunter TAFE and TAFE NSW. Creating his most intricate and jaw dropping chocolate scuplture to date, “Bone Shaker” a moving chocolate sculpture that boasts it's own engineering team and 180kilos of Callebaut Chocolate. Construction of this impressive feature began in February and will be completed at the smooth Festival of Chocolate in The Rocks. This is the first time a fully moving chocolate sculpture has ever been created so make sure you see this for yourself!

 

Callebaut Professional Belgian Chocolate

For the very first time, Callebaut Professional Belgian Chocolate, a brand used by some of Sydney's best Pastry Chefs and Chocolatiers are opening up to trade to the home baker in the Chocolatiers' Quarters. Chat to industry professionals as they recommend a selection of products that will have you baking at home like a chocolatier, dabbling in your passion and creating chocolate desserts that will wow your friends and family with their richness of flavour. 

After making your purchase, perhaps wander over to see the team from the Australian Patisserie Academy who will be showcasing a range or short courses that can help you ease your way into baking life a professional at home. Whether it's your goal to simply bake stunning desserts for friends and family or you perhaps have something more ambitious in your sights, the APA will be able to get you started with a taste of some amazing pastry and chocolate short courses.

Achocolypse

Making their smooth Festival of Chocolate debut in the rocks, ACHOCOLYPSE will be selling a mouthwatering selection of Choco Pops, Choc Buds, Chocolate Bark and a deliciously fun Choc pop DIY Kit - something to take home and enjoy with the kiddos at home!

Using organic sustainable and ethical ingredients with a focus on Fairtrade, ACHOCOLYPSE is conscious indulgence and can’t wait to showcase what they have on offer, including a number of vegan options.

 

Alfamores

if you have never tried an artisan Alfajores you must make the smooth Festival of Chocolate your debut experience! Hand made by producer Ezequiel who learned the secrets behind this lucious Argentian treat from his grandmother, he now bakes this soft biscuit that features an explosion of dulce de leche in the middle for Sydney foodies. Part silky smooth, buttery biscuit, part indulgent, thick caramel, once you try and Alfamores you'll just want more!!

 

Cacoette

Using single origin, EU certified organic chocolate from Belgium, Phillipa and the Cacaoette team returns to this year smooth festival of chocolate. Featuring lush organic artisanal chocolates handmade in Sydney from only the freshest ingredients, this is one not to be missed. With a deliciously large organic range catering for gluten free foodies, there's also vegan options too! Cacaoette is definitely love on a plate so tuck in and enjoy!

 

Chocolate Tea

One smell of RicoCoco's Chocolate Tea and you will be drifting off into a place of pure indulgence...without the calories! Get your chocolate fix at this year’s festival without the caffeine and the guilt when you take home this delicious organic and hand roasted Chocolate Tea. Using pure cacoa husk, and no dairy or sugar, RiciCocos are the first Australian company to solely provide chocolate tea. This is one chocolatier showcase not to be missed.

 

Chocolate 5018

When the festival team heard that there was a chocolatier specialising in matching quality chocolate with wine we knew we just HAD to have them at the festival. After all, who can think of anything better that relaxing with a glass of wine and a perfectly paired chocolate each evening?! Featuring amazing embellishments like organic freeze-dried ruits, nuts, spices, edible flowers or 23 carat gold, you'd almost be forgiven for wanting to frame it instead of eat it...but we guarantee it's worth every moment of indulgence! This boutique hand made chocolate comes all the way to you from Adelaide!

 

Destiny Haven

If you want to make a difference while you indulge your naughty side at this year's festival then spend your pennies at Destiny Haven. A truly inspiring organisation - a rehabilitation centre for women affected by life-controlling illnesses, they take joy in teaching their patients the art and skill of chocolate making - supported by industry greats Callebaut and Savour School Melbourne who realise the importance of empowering women to help them get back on their feet. The smooth Festival of Chocolate is proudly supporting Destiny Haven as all money raised from the sale of their chocolate goes straight back into the centre.

 

The Dessert House

Returning for her fourth festival, baker Tania and her Dessert House will be offering a wide selection delicious dessert cups including their signature Rosewater Cheesecake, Oreo Cheesecake, Salted caramel Pannacotta, Chocolate Crème Brulees and the popular Middle Eastern sweet – Knafeh. Made with passion, love and creative flair, the Dessert House is a guaranteed crowd pleaser with an array of desserts that look as beautiful as they taste!

 

Dickins’s Delights

Hand crafted from a time honoured recipe for your enjoyment, Dickens Delights will be offering the most amazing collection of brittles, toffee and Rocky Road that will leave you unable to stop at just one.

An irresistible selection of Macademia to Almond Toffee, Rocky Road and indulgent salted caramel and chocolate dessert sauces will also be available for all to enjoy.

Jasper & Myrtle

After recently winning a gold and two silver at the 2017 Academy of Chocolate awards in London, Cenberran artisan producers Jasper & Myrtle are making their debut at the smooth Festival of Chocolate in The Rocks. Created by Li Peng Monroe, the Jasper and Myrtle team are quickly building a reputation for blending well-balanced flavours with their bean to bar chocolate with flavours such as Black and White Seasame, Brandy and Orange Dark Chocolate or Himalayan Rock Salt and Wakame Dark Chocolate. 

 

Junee Chocolate

A crowd favourite at last year’s event, the Junee team will once again be driving their quirky vintage ute straight from country NSW, choc full of their delicious range of licorice and chocolate into the Chocolatiers' Quarters.  Featuring organic licorice that's melt-in-your-mouth to die for and it's range of Belgian chocolates, this truly is a different kind of "farm-to-table" experience!

 

Jeff De Bruges

International chocolatier Jeff De Bruges will be bringing his array of quality handmade chocolates to the Festival of Chocolate in the rocks. On offer will be a decadent selection of creations from De Bruges’ signature collections, including the ‘Ballotin’ featuring an assortment of dark, milk or white chocolates with crunchy, tender or smooth fillings.

Be sure to take the time to be enhanced by the ‘Les Julietes’ collection, featuring unique combinations of flavours that give each Juliette its own fascinating and elegant personality.

Gluten Free, Egg Free, Nut Free, Dairy Free and Kocher options available will also available in all De Bruges collections with vegans being able opt for the dark chocolate from the ‘Carres’ and ‘Ecorces’ collection along with their orangettes and ginger cubes.

 

Little Zebra Chocolates and Little Zebra Food Co

Vegans and those with nut, gluten and dairy allergies will be able to indulge to their hearts content as last year’s crowd pleasers Little Zebra Chocolates and Little Zebra Food Co return to the Chocolatiers’ Quarters.

Sugar, dairy and soy free dark chocolates in a huge range of delectable flavours are all on offer at Little Zebra Chocolates, making these the perfect alternative for the foodie that love their animals as much as their choccie!

The Little Zebra Food Co range of Vegan Carob Buds will satisfy those cravings whilst providing a dairy, gluten, soy, caffeine and palm oil free treat. In amazing flavours like Coconut, Lime, Orange and Mint...yummo.

Fantastically, the whole factory is nut free, so those allergic to nuts can enjoy at ease.

 

Pure Melt Chocolate Byron Bay 

From humble beginnings at the Mullimbimy markets, Pure Melt Chocolate Byron Bay led by Sarah Wheeler has gone on to win awards for her chocolate & oh-so-rich brownies and excitingly, is making her next pit stop at the smooth Festival of Chocolate in The Rocks. The all-organic and ethically sourced ingredients are lovingly handcrafted into delicious, raw, organic, vegan, gluten & cane sugar free delights. Sarah and her passionate team have been recognised in the industry now can’t wait to share all they have to offer with you at this year’s festival.

 

Redhouse Chocolates

Born from a life-long love of creating exquisite, artisan chocolates and truffles, Redhouse has come from humble beginnings at the Moruya Country Markets on the South Coast of NSW all the way to the smooth Festival of chocolate at the Rocks.

Featuring handmade products using only the best Belgian Coverture chocolate and as many fresh and local ingredients to flavor silky ganaches, including cream from the local Tilba Dairy and fresh produce from local growers, Redhouse will be sure to indulge your senses.

Come experience country style, and artisan methods with Redhouse chocolates, that will create dazzling moments of decadence in every bite!

 

Sydney Chocolate 

Known for their bean to bar chocolate blocks creatively named after NSW hot spots like Byron Bay, Bondi Beach or Newtown, Sydney Chocolate is so much more than a quirky name! Tahra and the team take pride in producing delicious artisan chocolates from ethically sourced locations. You could be be patriotic to your suburb but who could blame you for jumping postcodes with flavours like "Golden Honeycomb & Salted coverture" (Vaucluse) or "Beetroot Marshmallow with toasted Coconut" (Marrickville D'uh!)
