And laughs, of course

The 2019 Sydney Comedy Festival has announced its program and it’s filled to the brim with hilarious acts, side-splitting shows and uproarious special events.

Across four big weeks from 22 April to 19 May, the festival will welcome performers from all corners of the globe, including Joe Lycett (UK), David O’Doherty (Ireland), Melanie Bracewell (New Zealand), and Storm Xu (China).

Local comedians will also grace the stage.

Fan favourites appearing at this year’s festival include Dave Hughes, Felicity Ward, Joel Creasey, and Tommy Little – to name a few!

Not just for the big names, this year’s FRESH program features 12 emerging comedians including Steph Tisdell, Lauren Bonner, Oliver Twist and Ange Lavoipierre.

The best part is the night will hardly break the bank. You can have a good time watching some of the best new voices in the comedy scene for just $15-20. How good!

There’s fun for the littlies too with Comedy For Kids Gala at Sydney Town Hall. The gala will feature a lineup of the funniest family-friendly acts.

Marrickville’s Factory Theatre will be the main venue for the rest of the festival.

The theatre will bustle each night with multiple performances across multiple stages feat.  special events, delicious food and drinks in the outdoor bar.
