Matt Smith And Claire Foy Reunite For Incredible Stage Project

And it’s a far cry from The Crown.

If you’re one of the many disappointed with the casting in this season of The Crown, a blast from the past might cure your woes.

Former royal co-stars Matt Smith and Claire Foy have set the date for a New York debut of the stage play revival ‘Lungs’.

The duo will reprise their roles from the Old Vic production in London earlier this year, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Harvey Theater in March 2020.

Director Matthew Warchus will return at the helm of the Duncan Macmillan play, which centres around a young couple (played by Smith and Foy), grappling with the decision to have a child, in a world threatened by climate change and political upheaval.

Sounds… relatable.

The play’s official synopsis says:

“The ice caps are melting, there’s overpopulation, political unrest; everything’s going to hell in a handbasket – why on earth would someone bring a baby into this world?”

We can only hope that after Lungs’ run in New York, Australia gets the royal treatment.
