What do you think of the top choices?

We are almost halfway through 2018 (we don’t know how either!) and the folk at BabyCenter have a pretty good idea about which names are being chosen for new additions to U.S families... so far, at least.

The website has shared a list of the top 50 baby names for 2018 (so far) and will be updating it daily, in case you’re really keen to keep on top of what’s what in the world of infant monikers.

Unsurprisingly, cool titles like Emma, Olivia, Liam and Noah are still hanging round in first and second place and a few celebrity-child names like Harper (as in Beckham) and Mason (as in Disick) have managed to make their way onto the list, too.

We’ve shared the ten most popular male and female names from the list for you below:

Girls:

  1. Emma
  2. Olivia
  3. Ava
  4. Isabella
  5. Sophia
  6. Amelia
  7. Mia
  8. Charlotte
  9. Harper
  10. Mila

Boys:
  1. Liam
  2. Noah
  3. Oliver
  4. Logan
  5. Mason
  6. Lucas
  7. Ethan
  8. Elijah
